Collaborating With Communities Through Art
Painting It Forward was Established in 2009 by Benjamin Stark. Painting It Forward utilizes funds that are earned from commission work in the United States to paint murals in schools and community-based centers around the world. Therefore, all businesses and residences that hire Painting It Forward to install murals in the U.S. are providing the means for murals to be painted within underserved schools and communities around the world.
Over the past 15 years, many artists have collaborated on various projects. Chacho Lopez is one of those artists who has partnered with Painting It Forward on numerous projects around the world.
Since our inception, we have been able to paint murals for more than 40 schools within 10+ countries. We also have painted over 100 murals for numerous community centers and gathering areas throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, and Southeast Asia.
Projects & Funds
At Painting It Forward, we have placed a great emphasis on Central America, South America and Southeast Asia. With continued support, we hope to complete several projects within Mexico, Peru and the Caribbean within the next three years. We also plan to continue our work in Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on Eastern Thailand and Western Cambodia.
